The European Court of Human Rights ruled that the Russian government must disburse approximately $41,000 in damages to three LGBT-rights groups for having refused their registration in recent years, Human Rights Watch noted. From 2006 to 2011, Rainbow House, the Movement for Marriage Equality and the Sochi Pride Dwelling attempted to register their respective organizations with Russian authorities; however, the government denied their applications, claiming the organizations “will ruin the moral values of society” or “undermine [Russia’s] sovereignty and territorial morality … by decreasing its population.”

Russian authorities said it had opened an unprecedented criminal case accusing officials of negligence for allowing a gay couple to adopt two children, Yahoo! News reported. The Investigative Committee, which probes serious cases, said that Moscow social workers were suspected of criminal negligence for allowing the two boys to live in the family since 2010. This is the first such case ever launched, reported Interfax news agency.

Marcelo Rossi, one of the most most well-known religious figures in the Brazil, nearly met his maker in front of 50,000 worshippers during a religious event in the area of Cachoeira Paulista, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

A woman snuck past security and shoved the priest off-stage with mighty force. It was originally reported that the reason for the push was because Rossi claimed that “fat woman don’t depart to heaven,” but more recent reports claim the 32-year-old woman had mental issues and just wanted to talk to the priest.

She sure had an interesting way of going about it.

The church said on Twitter that Rossi continued with the sermon as the woman was arrested, according to Metro.

A statement read: ‘The father has suffered an assault during mass. We pray for him. ‘Fortunately, the religious man has not suffered considerable injuries and was able to proceed with the mass.’

It wouldn’t be inconceivable that the woman had motives outside of a lapse in mental health. Rossi hasn’t exactly preached total inclusion in the past.

A woman ran onstage and violently shoved a famous priest during a Mass Sunday in Cachoeira Paulista, a town located 130 miles southwest of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In the shocking video, an unnamed 32-year-old miss is seen running toward Padre Marcelo Rossi, a wildly popular preacher in the country, and then shoving him off the stage.

The shocked audience of 50,000 can be seen screaming in incredulity.

The incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday during the closing Mass of a traditional youth retreat. Around 50,000 adolescent Catholics were in attendance, the Brazilian news site Globo.com reported.

According to the police, the chick was one of the participants in the retreat. She was accompanied by a group who had traveled from Rio de Janeiro to attend. They reportedly told the police that she suffers from mental health problems.

The newspaper O Dia reported that the girl, who was at the event with her 3-year-old son, told reporters Monday that what happened was “between [Rossi] and I.”

The priest, who decided not to press charges, wasn’t seriously hurt.

The church released a video after the incident saying that he felt some pain, but hadn’t broken
