What is Traditional Surrogacy?
There are two methods of surrogacy: traditional surrogacy and gestational surrogacy. Traditional surrogacy is very exceptional today. Most surrogacy professionals, including American Surrogacy, do not complete this type of surrogacy. We, and again, most surrogacy professionals, only complete gestational surrogacies.
However, the traditional surrogacy process is likely something you’ve already heard of, so we created the following article to answer some usual questions:
Traditional Surrogacy Definition
“What is traditional surrogacy? What is a traditional surrogate?”
In traditional surrogacy, also sometimes called “partial surrogacy,” “genetic surrogacy” or “straight surrogacy,” the surrogate is the biological mother of the baby she carries.
The surrogate’s have eggs are fertilized through IUI using sperm from a donor or an intended father in a fertility clinic. This means that intended mothers complete not have the option to be genetically linked to the baby in traditional surrogacy.
Because traditional surrogates are the biological mothers, this type of surrogacy is less frequent
Surrogacy conferences, seminars and exhibitions for gay prospective parents
The conferences offer program tracks for prospective parents at different stages of the surrogacy process:
• Novices will benefit from the entire two days of programs - including peer consultation on planning their parenting journey and choosing providers, presented by several of our experienced board members and staff.
• If you have already attended past conferences and you are now actively looking for providers, you don't wish for to miss the Homosexual Parenting Expo, the 24 "meet the provider” breakout sessions, and the on-site private consultations offered by select clinics and agencies.
• If you are already in-process, most of our conferences offer free admission for the sessions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. It includes socializing opportunities and in-depth specialty sessions on budgeting, insurance, and the medical, psychological and ethical aspects of surrogacy.
• Even if you are parents already, collective activists, or professionals in a related field, you would appreciate the socializing opportunities and special programs about "life after birth," and, in some locations, a panel of teenagers
