Is it bad to headcanon a gay character as straight

Ah that...It's not really your fault.See, perhaps you and another lgbt person will know that traits can be pansexual, but because of the way vertical people constantly erase our representation, by making fanarts and etc about a gay character creature bi, you are kinda erasing what little gay inclusion we have because uuh...I mean, it's the same way my family will think I'm direct if I hang out a guy again. In an ideal society, straight ships and gay ships exist in harmony regardless of a character's sexuality, the media has a variety of sexualities for fictional characters and we all can share headcanons and no one questions lgtb representation. In the real world, we are constantly denied our representation in the media. What brief representation we possess is usually unhealthy but, whenever it is healthy, vertical people refuse to accept the traits is not straight. So yeah, you probably think it's not fair because we can headcanon vertical characters as bi but you can't do the similar to gay characters, but the issue is:How do homophobes react when we headcanon straight characters as bi?Most importantly:How do homophobes react when there is a

Queer Representation in Celebrity Wars: More a Starting Point Than a Final Destination

There’s a lot to be said for how quickly Celestial body Wars went from no canonically gay characters to more than a handful. Considering that Luminary Wars had an Expanded Universe that carried on for over thirty years with barely a mention of same-sex attracted characters, [1]Yes, I know about the married Mandalorian guys. the last limited years have had a veritable boom of queerness. There was a signal in the past where I could count the number of queer characters on one hand, but that’s not where we are anymore.

So: the canon representation is beat than before. We can all accept that it’s surpass than nothing. But better enough? Not quite.

I think that for many of us—queer fans in particular—it’s been a long time coming to see characters like Sinjir Rath Velus, Kaeden Larte, and even Moff Mors in such a beloved cosmos. Long enough that, understandably, characters and stories that resonate with fans end up on pedestals of a kind. When underrepresented fans identify a character they can see themselves in for the first time, it’s not uncommon for them to then turn around and find a huge chunk of fans railing against the exi

well this isn’t necessarily a thing i’ve really seen happen??? but if i had to guess, off the top of my head

1. “canonically straight” characters often aren’t necessarily canonically straight, just bc they’ve only dated ppl of a different gender. that still leaves the possibility of bisexuality open, because straight characters almost never say “i’m straight” since most ppl assume that to be the default. 2. conversely, gay characters are often more likely to have actually, canonically stated their sexuality, and headcanoning THEM as bi is like trying to somehow make it so they’re still capable of dating a different gender (which, historically, has not worked out too skillfully for gay people). hc-ing “canonically” straight characters as bi is often used by lgbt ppl looking for more representation, while hc-ing gay characters as bi is almost appreciate trying to erase that character’s actual canon sexuality to make it so they can still dine different ppl and glance “straight”

this is a test please blog, so let’s put it in that perspective.

1. hc-ing a “straight” character as bi

holster, in canon, has only ever mentioned dating women. however, he’s never actually said h

Well, I'm pretty sure people do the same toward gay characters from moment to time

Then its kind of funny to see how some people get very aggressive and angry over the mere thought that their favorite character might be homosexual LOL

Now and then people see different things than the author intended. Its nothing to panic about or get upset over

Also IMO sometimes heterosexuality feels extremely forced. Take the Tv Show Wednesday. The girls are great together and have awesome chemistry, There were a lot of people who saw this and question why they got shipped with two boring dudes they didn't have any chemistry whatsoever with =P  And with that fan artist starts to work and we have a million Enid and Wednesday ship

God bless the fan artists. Enid and Wednesday should have been lesbians,,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

Fandom Problem #6147:

I hate how many fanbases have turned me off from bi headcanons.

Apparently, you NEED to headcanon the characters in this well-written pairing between a male character and a female character as both existence bisexual. Only “dumb straights” don’t do that or “see the obvious bi vibes,” and no “straight” pairing is good unless all fans headcanon both characters as bi.

Fans don’t need to headcanon characters as bi to prefer a “straight” pairing. They just need to fond it to like it. And please stop assuming every person who doesn’t share the same notion as you is a part of a community you dislike. Plenty of LGBT fans like linear pairings with no necessitate to headcanon them in some way.

This is made worse when fans that headcanon a female traits not in a canon relationship as bi, for example, are seen as only wanting to “force” said character to be with the opposite gender.

Or that character is in a relationship with another character of the alike gender and bi headcanons are seen as trying to “force” them out of that relationship.

Even if they were, so what? Fans are welcome to ship whateve
