Chinese gay video ban sparks online backlash
What's popular and why
A crackdown on a wide range of internet videos by Chinese censors has caused a backlash on the country's popular micro-blogging site Sina Weibo, with many users objecting to a choice to ban content which features same-sex relationships.
On Chinese social media, many were left angry, baffled, and upset:
"Aren't people born equal? ... What right undertake you have to discriminate against others?" said one. Another commented: "Aren't homosexuals normal? Why do you push them to a corner?"
The outcry was prompted a decision by Beijing regulators to censor the portrayal of homosexual outing in online videos. The regulations, which came into force at the first stage of July, classify homosexuality as "abnormal" sexual behaviour and cover not only explicit sexual content but any portrayal of gay relationships, positive or negative - for instance in popular online dramas.
On Weibo, the hashtag "Online Content Review Discriminating [Against] Gays" was viewed by millions and generated thousands of c

SALINAS HERNANDEZ, Héctor Miguel.Gay porn made in Mexico. Cuicuilco [online]. 2011, vol.18, n.52, pp.225-249. ISSN 0185-1659.
This paper aims to deliver an overview on the pornography produced in Mexico by and for the male gay community, in the fields of video and film. It is based on the hypothesis that the possibility of creating gay pornography in Mexico is incorporated into the visibility gained from its inclusion in the Sexual Dissidence Movement on a global scale and facilitated by this market as the dominant element in the globalization process. This document presents some theoretical approaches to pornography and its genres, as well as presenting an overview on the international porn industry, with a special emphasis on the North American market; it presents a brief history of gay porn and examines the context and the evolution of Mexican gay porn and its relationship with the awareness achieved by, and through, the movement of sexual dissidence.

Abebe- an international trainee from Ethiopia, 24-year-old who identifies as male (he/him/they) and has been sexually active for the last five years. Abebe’s appointment is by telehealth. About three months ago, he started exploring his sexuality and has had sex with a limited male partners (if asked for more detail – 4/5 partners, both insertive and receptive anal and oral sex, infrequent condom use). Abebe is feeling confused and uncertain about his sexuality and would never have felt easy exploring it further while living with his parents in Ethiopia. He is worried about anyone in his family finding out, particularly his father. Abebe has no significant medical history but has been feeling a little anxious lately. Abebe has never smoked cigarettes but has been experimenting with some recreational drugs since coming to Australia. He drinks alcohol with friends on weekends (4-5 drinks per occasion) and has tried some MDMA. These occasions are also when he started to experiment having sex with men. Hurt reduction education is provided regarding drug use and linked into community organisation for ongoing support.
Clinical in Having unprotected penetrative sex is the most likely way to move through on a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Using a condom helps protect against HIV and lowers the exposure of getting many other STIs. If you’re a man having sex with men (MSM), without condoms and with someone new, you should have an STI and HIV examine every 3 months, otherwise, it should be at least once a year. This can be done at a sexual health clinic (SHC) or genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic. This is essential , as some STIs do not produce any symptoms. Hepatitis A is a liver infection that's spread by a virus in poo. Hepatitis A is uncommon in the UK but you can obtain it through sex, including oral-anal sex ("rimming") and giving oral sex after anal sex. MSM with multiple partners are particularly at risk. You can also get it through contaminated diet and drink. Symptoms of hepatitis A can materialize up to 8 weeks after sex and include tiredness and feeling sick (nausea). Hepatitis A is not usually life-threatening and most people make a packed recovery within a couple of months. MSM can avoid getting hepatitis A by:
