I was once taken brutally from behind as Hugh Downs played on the television. His good eye was a beacon. It helped me focus.

Some celebrated people (men and women) whom I think are in the closet. This list has queer & lesbian closet actors & actresses in Hollywood.
The list IS IN a particular ORDER - from most speculated & obvious to just fairly. Survey out for the celebrities in the top 10 - I guarantee that one or two of them are out within ten years or so.
NOTE: This list is not made to badmouth or disparage these people. I'm in no way poking amusement or anything. This is just a speculation list. So please take it lightly. :)
Update: Victor Garber came out in 2012.
UPDATE 2: Wentworth Miller and Lucas Cruikshank just came out! *REMOVED*
UPDATE 3: Ellen Page just came out! (Feb 14, 2014)
UPDATE 4: Daniel Franzese (Damian from Mean Girls) made a 'quiet' coming out in April 2014.
"I was literally told from the day that I moved to Los Angeles that I could not be gay.”
Coming out as an LGBTQ+ person can be a difficult thing to do and even when they're ready to share their true selves with the world, not everyone is ready to hear it. Many Queer celebrities have even felt pressure to stay in the closet despite wanting to be open about their sexuality or gender. And while it seems like Hollywood is completely accepting of the Homosexual community, many of its members have been made to doubt if they should be out and proud.
These stars admit that everyone from agents to casting directors to other actors have all advised them to stay in the closet at one point or another. Whether it was to defeat a new role, acquire the public's approval or just sell more tickets, these LGBTQ+ actors hold been told that it would be best for their careers if they hid that part of their lives. Thankfully, they didn't listen.
Despite the pressure of the entertainment industry, these stars are all now out of the closet and living existence to the fullest as who they were meant to be.
Hear what these celebs had to declare about their experience...

Hollywood Closet Cases
Do you realize why they're not coming out? Or do you think it's pathetic of them to hide? In 2018? Personally I'm torn. On the one hand I wanna scream PATHETIC - especially when it comes to those mature queens who already had a career, who are still bearding at 45+. On the other.. it may still be career-ending (?) so maybe I should be more understanding?

They’re assholes. Queer people will never alter. They will always aid the closet. A tiny minority are against it. I’m against it completely. But, I’ve resigned to the fact that I will always be on the minority side. The closet is a victimized place. People like to be victims. Coming out and living honestly is a sign of maturity, responsibility and being an adult. Gay people who come from the equal harsh environment as the closeted live openly lgbtq+, but the closet is easy.
Hate away. This site always does when you’re anti-liar.

The corporate structure in Hollywood encourages and supports "bearding" not only for gays but for some hets, too.
