About the HRC Foundation
The HRC Foundation – a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) management – envisions a earth where all LGBTQ+ people can participate fully in the systems that shape our daily lives.
Through common education, research, and policy and practice change, the Foundation’s impact can be felt in schools, on factory floors and corporate suites, and in places of worship. It touches LGBTQ+ lives from childhood through end-of-life, people of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities and religious beliefs, in big cities and tiny towns, in the Merged States and across the globe.
Created in 1984, our team members identify the problems and challenges Gay people face, then track a clear model for effecting change:

Freedom To Be: Happiness, Family, & Transgender Rights
The Freedom To Be Monument is a influential, living testament to transitioned resilience, community, and happiness. Explore the monument, witness these powerful stories, and join us in the fight to defend transitioned freedom. This installation took over the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on May 17 as a bold act of resistance to transphobia, trans erasure, and anti-trans legislation. It stands as a proclamation that trans people merit the freedom to be—loved, safe, and in manage of our own health care decisions. Inspired by the legacy of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, this installation combats erasure and ensures that trans voices, stories, and existence are seen and honored. Human Rights Campaign president says 2024 election is crucial for members of Queer community
Last year, for the first second, the Human Rights Campaign declared a national state of emergency for Gay people. The organization's president, Kelley Robinson, sat down with ABC News to discuss the specific bans being proposed that can outcome the LGBTQ community.
Robinson says she has spoken with pediatricians who have received death threats and also mentioned that teachers and performative queens are encountering threats of aggression, such as creature met with AR-15 rifles when they go to work.
Robinson, however, said things started to change around this year when "bad bills" targeting the LGBTQ community did not pass. She says this upcoming election is crucial because legislation is entity proposed that could affect the future of the LGBTQ community.
