Gay series on netflix 2024

How do I open to describe the experience of crawling through the desert of my broken mind in find of queer characters for this month’s streaming guide, I suppose I could begin by calling it difficult, while also educational! When there’s nothing huge to center the guide around, I am forced to look deeply into every single reveal in the entire universe in seek of a bit lesbian character and it turns out many of them have been here all along! But often in ways that are caring of ambiguous, not important enough for us to realize about it until this month’s research… and in most cases, I can’t figure out if they’re gonna execute anything else lgbtq+ in the future. One can only pray.

That said, September is a month with some excellent stuff coming your way in general, even though that stuff is not centered on gay women, including stuff with gay male characters and stuff starring queer female actors. Normally I wouldn’t even refer this stuff but… desperate times! There’s gonna be three (3) Ryan Murphy projects such as horror show Grotesquerie, starring out actors Neicy Nash-Betts and Micaela Diamond, which debuts September 25th on FX. W

Well, we are approaching the holiday season and I am hoping that our friends in the Christmas Movie community are preparing a top-secret lesbian production they’ve yet to report me of personally. In the meantime, we hold a November of television and movies on streaming networks that are relevant to our gay, woman loving woman and bisexual interests. In a bit of bad news for the robust transphobic and TERF community, there’s a surprisingly significant number of trans-centric projects debuting this month, although the quality of said projects is debatable. Let us dig in!

3 Best Gay Dads in TV Shows in 2025 (Netflix Binge Worthy)

Can you name TV shows with the most interesting LGBTQ+ characters?
How about gay dads on TV? I bet there’s not a lot.
In this post, I divide some of my favorite characters and why representation is so important.

It wasn’t too long ago when American and Canadian TV programming lacked representation of gay parent roles. The idealized image of fatherhood on television was highly influenced by the social context of what a father is - dominant, strong, and in a position of power and affect at home and work. Thus we had Archie Bunker in All in the Family, and Jed Clampett in The Beverly Hillbillies who epitomized how men still relied on their wives when it came to child-rearing and housework.

But the father figure character evolved in the coming years. We loved to binge see on Dan Conner in Roseanne was the likable and relatable father figure, Red Forman in That ‘70s Entertainment was stern but relied upon for sound advice, Hal in Malcolm in the Middle who was a disciplinarian but had a soft spot for his boys, and the adorable Johnny Rose in Schitt’s Creek who educated us on what it’s like to continue learning to be a fath
