The following payment methods are popular ways to manage your Spotify account. Some will have more security features than others, so be sure to consider which suits your needs.
Credit and debit cards
Most people use a credit or debit card as their primary payment way, mostly because it’s convenient. Spotify accepts most credit and debit card companies and automatically withdraws wealth from your account each month.
While there’s nothing mistaken with using a debit or credit card, you could be at uncertainty of fraud if someone accesses your account. You’re also more likely to spend more money with a credit card, so many people prefer more secure payment options.

PayPal is one of the most popular ways to make transactions, as the platform links to your bank account. The main benefit of PayPal is that it hides your payment details, which means Spotify doesn’t have access to them.

Add Spotify Premium
If you don't have Spotify Premium included in your design, you can add it in MySpark or the Spark app.

- Open the Spark app
- Select MySpark from the Menu and subscribe in if you are asked to
Note: If you don't have a MySpark account yet, you can follow these steps to create one. Set up and use MySpark - Select Subscriptions under the Products section
- Select Add a new subscription
- Follow the steps to append Spotify Premium
- Before you can start using Spotify Premium you need to trigger it. Once you've finished adding Spotify Premium you'll receive a notification in the next 15 minutes when it's ready to activate.

- Sign in to MySpark
Note: If you don't own a MySpark account yet, you can follow these steps to create one. Set up and apply MySpark - Select Subscriptions under the Products section
- Select Add a new subscription
- Follow the steps to add Spotify Premium
- Before you can start using Spotify Premium you want to activate it. Once you've finished adding Spotify Premium you'll receive a notification in the next 15 minutes when it's ready to activate.

Invite or remove Family design members
The plan manager can add or remove members on their Family page.
- Go to your account page.
- Under Subscription, choose Manage members.
- Select the option to either invite or remove members.
Note: To add members to your plan, you need to send an invite.
Note: If the manager and member are using the same device, build sure the plan manager logs out before anyone opens an invite link. The member needs to be logged into their own account to accept.
Invited members get a link to join, where they need to:
- Log in to (or sign up for) their own Spotify account
- Confirm their full address
Note: Intend members can only switch plans once every 12 months.

If you’re using the same device, create sure the plan manager logs out before anyone opens an invite link.
Invited members need to log in to their hold Spotify account (or design one if they don’t have one).

How to cancel Premium plans
Cancel your Premium plan any period on your account page.
- Go to your account page.
- Select Cancel plan, under Your plan at the top of the screen, or under Manage your plan.
- Continue through to the confirmation message.
Your Premium stays until your next billing go out, then your account switches to free.
Note: If you cancel during a zero-priced free trial period, your account will switch over to our free service immediately. Zero-priced free trials can't be reactivated.
You keep your playlists and saved music when your account is free. You can also still log in and play with ads.
Want to cancel your Spotify Family or Duo plan?
If you’re a intend manager, follow the steps above to cancel your design. Make sure you let all prepare members know as they’ll lose their Premium benefits starting from the next payment date.
If you’re a plan member, following the steps above will delete your account from the plan, but won’t cancel it. Reach out to the plan manager to cancel or update the payment method.

- Go to the Spotify account page on your mobile or terminal browser.
- Tap or click Support.
- Navigate to the Account help section.
- Select the Account settings tab.
- Tap or click on Closing your account and deleting your data.
- Choose the correct link depending on whether you’re closing a Premium or free account.
- Select Close account on the next page.
- Review the information displayed, and if you’re sure, check the I Understand button, then click on Continue.
